And I know that sometimes I tweet about how frustrated I am with passive voice, or cliches, and whatnot, but I also get some of the most startlingly brilliant work. So much, in fact, that lately the problem hasn't been finding ten poems for each issue, but rather, whittling my favorites down to ten poems. This is a wonderful problem to have.

. . . for the April issue of Autumn Sky Poetry. FYI: I tend to tweet as I read the poems. If you're curious, you can find me on Twitter: @chrissiemkl.
—"2 spots filled, 8 left for Autumn Sky Poetry's April issue."
—"If I read one more poem bogged down with passive voice I think I shall scream."
(Many jokes were left on my FB status feed regarding passive voice after I posted this one ((heh, irony!)). Don't know what passive voice is? Look here.)
—"Sending rejections. The worst part is how closely the the poems I refuse resemble my own work 20, 10, 5 years ago. Humble pie for me today."
(Yes, I made a typo. I blame the pie.)
